- The beamline optics saw the first superconducting wiggler beam on October 11, 2011 (see figure 1). First opening of the bl04 front-end that was part of the site acceptance test of the superconducting wiggler.
- Commissioning with beam started on October 28, 2011
- Mirrored beam at the fluorescence screen monitor of the optics
hutch, October 28 2011 (see figure 2)

September-October 2011
- the granite for the HP endstation has arrived at the experimental hutch (see figure bellow)
- the mspd vacca, the mspd VACuum Control Application for Alba synchrotron is in operation
- works at the optics hutch advance as planned to have the optics ready for first beam this November.
