ALBA Industrial PhD student to be funded by Almirall

The ALBA Synchrotron in collaboration with the company Almirall and with the support of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) have submitted a grant proposal to the Catalan Government to hire one researcher to study drugs with synchrotron light techniques.

The ALBA Synchrotron and the pharmaceutical company Almirall together with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) have submitted a grant proposal to the Industrial Doctorates Plan of the Catalan Government for hiring one researcher student to be devoted to an Industrial project while performing PhD studies.

The Industrial project will be focused on determining amorphous phase by Synchrotron X-ray Powder Diffraction on micronized drug substances. The PhD student will be funded by Almirall and to be hired by ALBA where the main part of the work will be carried out.
