This document displays the parameters needed to configure your e-mail client to connect to CELLS e-mail server

Advanced Client configuration for ALBA <yourlogin>@cells.es email accounts

These are the values you have to introduce in your email application configuration (i.e. Thunderbird, Outlook,...) to be able to send and receive emails

Account connection parameters:

  Incoming imap server: imaps.cells.es  Port: 993

  Outgoing smtp server: smtps.cells.es  Port: 465

  Logon information: Your main Username and password (LDAP database)

  SMTP relay autentication: Your main Username and password (LDAP database)

  Secure Password Authentication (SPA): No

  Encrypted connection for incoming IMAP server (SSL): Yes

  Encrypted connection for outgoing SMTP server (SSL): Yes

These are the values you have to introduce in your email application configuration (i.e. Thunderbird, Outlook,...) to be able to send and receive emails

Checking email with your application from the Internet

If you want to use your email application from the Internet (outside ALBA office):

  • by default you will only be granted to read emails.
  • to be able to send emails, you should have to request it to the IT Systems group, via RT ticket or calling to the support phone number 4400.
